Iron deficiency yellowing (yellow leaf disease) is a global problem in alkaline soils. Conventional ferrous sulfate can hardly meet the needs of modern agriculture due to its low bioavailability (only 5-10%) and its application only in acidic soils (pH≤7), but is almost ineffective in neutral and alkaline soils with pH>7, which is prone to cause soil salinization.
EDDHA Fe-6%, as a representative of mature chelated iron technology, can maintain efficient activity in soil environment of pH 3-10 through stable neighbor chelating structure (neighbor value ≥80%), especially solving the stubborn problem of iron supplementation in alkaline soil of pH≤9. Its core value lies in:
- High-efficiency absorption: iron element reaches the plant root system directly in chelated state, the absorption rate is nearly 100%, and the dosage is only 1-5% of ferrous sulfate;
- Soil friendly: no risk of salinization after application, instead it can fix the beneficial components of soil and reduce nutrient loss;
- Agro-compatible: it can be mixed with pesticides and herbicides, and supports multi-scenario applications such as drip irrigation, leaf spraying and root application.
It has been tested that in soil with pH 8.2, the rate of yellowing and re-greening of leaves after 7 days of treatment with EDDHA Fe-6% reaches 98%, the growth of new leaves is accelerated by 40%, and the average yield is increased by 12%. The product has been widely used in citrus, grapes, peanuts and other economic crops, as well as gardenia, azalea and other landscape plants.
Our EDDHA Fe-6% strictly follows industrial standards and has quality assurance: iron content ≥6.0%, chlorine residue ≤0.1%, and high water solubility to ensure rapid onset of action, which helps to provide scientific support for crop health and productivity enhancement in high pH soil areas.
