Dinotefuran is one of the widely used insecticide with high activity.

Toxicity

Dinotefuran is very safe for mammals. The acute transoral LD50 of dinotefuran is 2450mg/kg in male rats and 2275mg/kg in female rats.Male mice 2840mg/kg, female mice 2000mg/kg. In rats with acute percutaneous LD50>2000mg/kg(male and female). No teratogenic,carcinogenic or mutagenesis. Dinotefuran is also very safe for aquatic life.The fish toxicity test showed that dinotefuran treated carp nm(48h)>1000mg/L and daphnia >1000mg/L. Similarly, the toxicity of dinotefuran to birds is also very low, with acute transoral LD50>1000mg/kg for quails. The toxicity of dinotefuran to bees was found to be moderate to high risk, and the flowering period of plant pollination was forbidden.

It has the characteristics of contact killing, gastrotoxicity, strong endotoxin and root, high quick effect, long duration of efficacy for 4-8 weeks (theoretical duration of efficacy for 43 days), wide insecticidal spectrum, excellent control effect on the insects in the piercing and sucking mouthparts, and shows high insecticidal activity at a very low dose. It is mainly used to control aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, thrips, whiteflies and their resistant strains on various crops such as wheat, rice, cotton, vegetables, fruit trees and tobacco, and has high efficiency against coleoptera, diptera, lepidoptera and homoptera pests and also has high efficiency against health pests such as cockroach, termite and housefly.
