·Product Positioning & Mode of Action
Sodium Naphthalene Acetate (NAA-Na) is a low-toxicity, highly active plant growth regulator technical material, with 85.8% naphthalene acetic acid (active ingredient) and 96% sodium naphthalene acetate purity. It shares a similar mode of action with the natural auxin IBA, promoting cell division and expansion, inducing adventitious root formation, increasing root mass, preventing fruit drop, and adjusting floral sex ratios. The compound enters plants via leaves, tender bark, or seeds and is translocated to target sites through the nutrient stream. As a dedicated raw material for pesticide formulation manufacturing, it must not be applied directly to crops.
·Technical Use & Dosage (Formulation GuidanceNAA-Na technical is commonly used to formulate soluble powders, soluble liquids, and aqueous solutions. In rooting agent products, typical usage ranges from 0.1% to 0.5% (a.i.). For fruit-set promoters, recommended final dilution concentrations are 5–20 mg/L. Specific formulation parameters should be adapted to target crops, application methods, and local regulatory requirements. We offer technical support and formulation advice.
·Performance Benefits & Field ValueFormulations containing NAA-Na deliver proven field benefits: rapid rooting of cuttings and transplants, significantly improved survival rates; reduced flower and fruit drop in apples, citrus, and tomatoes; enhanced fruit set; and adjustment of female/male flower ratios in cucurbits for higher yields. The product is versatile for spraying, dipping, and soil drenching, with low toxicity and environmental friendliness — making it a fundamental growth regulator ingredient in modern, high-efficiency agriculture.
·Target Crops
NAA-Na formulations are widely used on: Fruit trees(apple, citrus, grape, pear), Vegetables (tomato, pepper, cucumber, beans), Field crops(rice, cotton), Ornamentals & forestry (cutting propagation, landscaping).
