Precision Application Plan by Growth Stage

Early-to-Mid Tillering Stage

Usage: Foliar spray; apply 750–1,200 g of potassium phosphite per hectare, diluted in 225–300 g of water for even coverage.

Functions: Rapidly stimulates new root growth and enhances root vitality; boosts cold and saline-alkali tolerance during the seedling stage; establishes a robust framework for vegetative growth; induces early disease resistance in the plant, thereby reducing the risk of sheath blight in later stages.

Late Tillering to Field Drying Stage

Usage: Foliar spray; apply 1,200–1,500 g of potassium phosphite per hectare in combination with fungicides (e.g., hexaconazole or thifluzamide) used for the initial control of sheath blight.

Functions: Strengthens rice stem cell walls and significantly improves stem toughness, fundamentally enhancing lodging resistance; utilizes the antimicrobial activity of phosphite ions to help suppress the initial inoculum load of sheath blight in the field.

3–5 Days Before Booting (Panicle Emergence)

Usage: Foliar spray; apply 1,500–1,800 g of potassium phosphite per hectare in combination with agents for the comprehensive control of rice blast and planthoppers.

Functions: Reduces spikelet degeneration and improves heading uniformity; prevents panicle blast and the upward spread of sheath blight caused by high-temperature and high-humidity conditions; builds up sufficient phosphorus and potassium reserves for the subsequent grain-filling stage.

Full Heading to Grain-Filling Stage

Usage: Foliar spray; apply 1,800–2,250 g of potassium phosphite per hectare, diluted in 300 g of water, focusing the spray on the panicles and functional leaves.

Functions: Accelerates the translocation of photosynthetic products to the grains; increases 1,000-grain weight and enhances rice grain fullness and quality; extends the lifespan of functional leaves and prevents premature senescence in the late growth stage.

Key Mixing Guidelines and Pitfalls to Avoid

Safe to mix with: Mainstream rice fungicides such as thifluzamide, hexaconazole, and pyraclostrobin, as well as water-soluble silicon fertilizers and amino acid foliar fertilizers. Such mixtures do not produce precipitates and achieve the combined benefits of multiple protective and growth-promoting effects in a single application.

Strictly prohibited mixtures: Do not mix with strongly alkaline substances like plant ash or quicklime. Direct mixing with free-state calcium or zinc fertilizers is also not recommended, as this can lead to the formation of insoluble precipitates and a loss of fertilizer efficacy.

Precautions: Focus spraying on the middle and lower sections of the rice plants. Avoid application during the hottest part of the day (temperatures above 35°C) to prevent leaf scorch.
