Application / Usage / Function
Mepiquat chloride is a new plant growth inhibitor, which has a good systemic conduction effect on plants. It can inhibit elongation of plant cells and internode, inhibit the wild growth of stems and leaves, control side branches, shape ideal plant types, increase root number and vigor, increase fruit weight and improve quality.
Mepiquat chloride can promote plant development, early flowering, prevent shedding, increase yield, enhance chlorophyll synthesis, and inhibit the elongation of main stems and fruit branches. It is widely used in crops such as cotton, wheat, rice, peanuts, corn, potatoes, grapes, vegetables, beans, flowers and so on.
When used in cotton, Mepiquat chloride can effectively prevent cotton from growing wildly, control plant compactness, reduce boll fall out, promote maturity, and increase cotton production. It can promote root development; prevent excessive growth; resist lodging; increase the rate of boll formation; increase blooms before frost; improve the cotton grade.
When used for ornamental plants, it can inhibit plant growth, make plants firm, resist lodging and improve color.
In addition, Mepiquat chloride used in winter wheat can prevent lodging; used in oranges can increase sugar content.
