Dolomite is a natural calcium magnesium carbonate mineral with the molecular formula CaMg(CO3)2 and molecular weight 184.40. It is sparingly soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid and insoluble in water. According to the TDS, its main application is to neutralize acidic soil while replenishing calcium and magnesium for plants. The MSDS also lists industrial uses such as building materials, ceramics, glass, refractory materials, and the chemical industry.
